Through Aerial Yoga, we will combine playfulness, alignment, yoga and breath, to create a unique practice. The focus will be on learning to work with the fabric to support your asana. Sink deeper into your yoga practice, find effortless inversions and allow yourself to surrender to the Aerial hammock and it's benefits.
Suitable for students with some yoga experience looking to have an invigorating practice. Some supported inversions and Level 2 postures may be introduced, with options for Level 1 students to ease the transition from Level 1 to Level 2 classes. This class is not suitable for beginners.
Suitable for intermediate yoga practitioners with a consistent Vinyasa practice. Good for Level 1 classes to take on more challenging asanas and sequences. Classes are taught with variation to allow an easy transition from Level 1 to Level 2. Full inversions may be included in these classes.
Therapeutic yoga is defined as the application of yoga postures and practice to the treatment of health conditions and involves instruction in yogic practices and teachings to prevent reduce or alleviate structural, physiological, emotional and spiritual pain, suffering or limitations. Results from this study show that yogic practices enhance muscular strength and body flexibility, promote and improve respiratory and cardiovascular function, promote recovery from and treatment of addiction, reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, improve sleep patterns, and enhance overall well-being and quality of life.
With strengthening yoga can recharge your body, get rid of the toxins, negative energy and keep your vital organs functioning well. It can help you build resilience both inside and out. Certain yoga positions can help support, balance and boost the immune system. It can also help fight oxidative stress which poses a risk to the healthy cells. If done regularly, can reduces stress systemically in the body, which in turn, cuts down inflammation and degeneration.
With regular backbends we can help to protect this wonderful balance by increasing mobility while strengthening the supporting muscles around the skeleton.
Suitable for all level.
Classes may be sequenced around a peak pose such as a backbend, or they might focus on a particular theme such as the chakras or an aspect of yoga philosophy. The class may be dynamic and focus on strengthening postures, or it may be a slower flow with an emphasis on mobility and flexibility in the spine or the hips. Suitable for all levels.
Suitable for students with some Vinyasa experience looking to have a challenging and dynamic experience. Kriyā and bandha may be included. No full inversions are included in these classes. Room temperature: 35-38 °C.
This class is not suitable for beginners or students with spine injuries.
